Born in Dundee. Playwright and Screenwriter used his experience as an amateur boxer and nightclub manager to write first play, ‘Shadowboxing’ which was nominated for a Meyer Whitworth Award. Follow up play ‘Timewatching’ was shortlisted for The Verity Bargate award. Simon has also written numerous episodes for BBC Scotland’s River City. He was associate producer on ‘The Falkirk Cowboys’ a documentary screened on BBC. Recently co-wrote a short film ‘Caught in this moment of time.’ with dementia activist Ron Coleman. He enjoys working on contemporary urban stories and has several screenplays in development.
